Chad Cox, M.D.

Chad Cox, M.D.was born in Dallas, Texas and then moved over and over ever since. He has lived in Texas, Colorado, Northern California, Florida, Southern California and even Arkansas. He feels finally settled in Los Angeles.

Dr Cox attended UCLA and received undergraduate degrees in Classical Civilizations and Biology. He earned his medical degree at the University of Arkansas. Being the only tertiary care center for an entire state, the experience was extremely broad and deep. University of Arkansas is known for producing competent and self-sufficent generalists. He then came home to California to complete his residency in internal medicine at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

In 2001 Dr.Cox began his professional practice in the Santa Clarita Valley and has never left. In 2004, he joined The Doctors’ Office after a search to find an office where he felt medicine was practiced the right way—where patient care and good medicine came first. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and has a broad range of clinical experiences including hospitals, ICU’s, internal medicine clinics, urgent cares, and occupational medicine. There are very few medical situations he has not seen and in which he has not participated.

Dr Cox currently is an active staff member at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. He trains Nurse Practioners and Physician Assistants through The Doctors' Office. In 2007, Dr Cox became a business partner at The Doctors' Office and has been contributing to the management of this very busy practice. He feels that this is the way medicine should be practiced and upholds the ideals of excellent customer service and solid medical care that Dr Jenkins espouses.

When not seeing patients at The Doctors’ Office, Dr. Cox is a family man. He helps raise his 7 year old son and 2 year old daughter and now a third child is on the way. His lovely wife is an actress and current member of SAG and AFTRA but is on a hiatus to take care of the children. She has filmed co-star and guest star roles on many brand name shows. Dr Cox's hobbies include travel (before the kids), running, hiking, science fiction/fantasy novels and movies, KROQ music, his iPad, and Legos with his son.
