Gregory Jenkins, M.D.

Gregory Jenkins was born in Van Nuys, California. During his father’s United States Air Force career, Dr. Jenkins and his two brothers enjoyed the opportunity to experience living with their family in a variety of locales, including Okinawa, Japan; Hawaii; Georgia; New York; Texas; Mississippi; and Washington, D.C.
After moving to Newhall in 1966 and earning his Associate Degree in the first graduating class at College of the Canyons, Dr. Jenkins transferred to UCLA. He earned his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and returned to California to complete his residency training in the UCLA Internal Medicine Program. He began his family practice with offices in Newhall and Friendly Valley. Dr. Jenkins completed an additional Occupational Medicine residency training program at the School of Medicine, University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Jenkins is honored to have been voted “Best Family Practice Physician” in several local polls. He also served as Chief of Staff at Henry Mayo Newhall hospital and continues to contribute time as a member of the Medical Staff Executive Board working to insure the highest quality of patient care in our local hospital. In addition, The Doctors’ Office has been recognized by voters in local publications as “Best Family Practice Office, Best Internal Medicine, and Best Urgent Care.”
As a member of the Flying Samaritans of Mercy and La Liga International, every six weeks Dr. Jenkins flies to Mexico with other volunteers to deliver healthcare supplies and provide medical care to needy patients at several rural clinics. He is able to utilize both his diagnostic and Spanish language skills while serving patients who have no access to medical care.
Dr. Jenkins is the father of a son and daughter, as well as a grandfather of two. He enjoys creating his home garden and vineyard, volunteering and performing in local theater productions, singing in karaoke venues, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Jenkins appreciates the opportunity to live and be involved in the community where he is fortunate to practice medicine.
As a founding partner of the practice in 1979, Dr. Jenkins' philosophy and commitment to concerned, excellent medical care—conveniently available everyday and supported by staff who have served patients with superior customer service for 32 years, have consistently guided our practice of medicine at The Doctors' Office.
